Fun and Frolicking in Cancun

Seven Months and counting...

Hello from the Prine household :)

Nick is doing great :) Seven months old and the "Little Big Guy" is already at 24 lbs...he's wearing clothes for a 24 month old / 2T.

He loves sitting up for long periods of time to play...he can't get into the sitting up position yet, but he's trying :) He's also building up those leg muscles and is standing for a few minutes at a time, when placed in the standing position (see the photos below).

Did I mention that Nick loves chatting? He's a real "Gah gah gah" kinda guy...I swear I heard him say "Dah Dah" a few times :)

Julie and Nick are out of the house daily...whether it's off to Mother Goose, French, Reading Time at the Library, he's a real "mover and shaker"...

To top it off, Nick got his first passport a few months back so that he can be ready for his first trip outside of Canada...We're taking Nick to Cancun during September for a bit of fun and sun :)

June 2007

Well, Nick hit the six month mark with a BANG. He's at a whooping 23 lbs and 28 inches...wearing a size five diddy (sorry Puffy)...His "two front teeth" have popped up and he's been munching on "jars" for three weeks now.

Nick loves being outside with Mama, waving and calling out to the people passing :)

Nick in Ottawa - May 21 to 24, 2007

Nick went on his very first trip with Mama and Papa during May! He visited many of his relatives and even left Harper something special in the "Family Washroom"...

This guy is growing like crazy. By the end of May he was at 21 pounds and 27 inches in length...What a munchkin...or should I say "Big Little Guy"...

He's eating a half a jar of veggies daily @ supper time and really enjoys his peas...

Spring Has Sprung!!!

Hello World :)

It's me Nicholas or as my mama calls me schweeps (short for sweetpea). I am in my 5th month now and just got over my first cold. I am making strides in this world. I know that when I hear mama or papa say Dide Dooo it means "Do you want to be changed?" As you will see from the photos I can hold my own bottle and read a book. Aladdin is my favourite althought mom has gotten me interested in Hans Cristian Anderson, Jhumpa Lahiri, and Orhan Pamuk of late. I chat lots too. Anyway check out my latest pix from April 2007:

Nick @ 10 Weeks!

Time surely flys when you're having fun and raising a little munchkin! Nick turned 10 weeks old last Thursday and boy is he growing like a weed! He's already 14lbs and 25 inches! The little guy is wearing 12 month old clothes (with the sleeves and legs rolled up)...he's a healthy eater and been letting mama and papa sleep quite well during the night...he does get up for two feedings...but he goes back down to bed quite nicely :)

36 days and counting...

Happy Almost End of January!!!

Julie and I are proud to say that Nick is 36 days old and he's growing up fast! Some highlights from this month include:

- First flip from back to front - around 22 days
- First flip from front to back - around 28 days
- Holding his bottle during feeding (not the whole time!) - around 24 days

He's been a real "swell cat" to have around the house...okay, he's been a real "cool cat" to have around. Can't believe the changes that we see in him everyday.
